PointsWill Starlink start serving customers in Pakistan before 31 January 2027?
Starlink has been registered with Pakistan's regulator since 2025 and the PTA has since put a licensing framework in place for low-earth-orbit satellite internet. As of July 2026 the PTA chairman was still publicly urging Starlink and Amazon's Kuiper to enter the market, and no satellite service is on sale to the public. Satellite broadband is pitched as the fix for coverage gaps in Balochistan, interior Sindh and the mountain north. Resolves: 31 January 2027 • Source: PTA or Starlink announcement, as reported by Dawn Rule: Resolves YES if, on or before 31 January 2027, Starlink service is commercially available to ordinary customers in Pakistan — meaning a member of the public can subscribe and actually receive service — confirmed by the PTA or by Starlink and reported by Dawn or Business Recorder. The grant of a licence or registration on its own, a waitlist or pre-order page without service being delivered, trials or deployments limited to government, disaster-relief, corporate, in-flight or maritime users, and any announcement of a future launch date do not count.
